http://www.carbonrally.com/ is a one amazing site which i just happened to bump into .....while various diffrent environmental organisation are busy creating awareness on environmental issue, corporates are busy adorning their papers and speeches with the word 'go green'.... http://www.carbonrally.com/ is one site gathering people from various walks of life to compete on carbon reduction challenges.... they have various challenges which groups and individuals can take to reduce their respective carbon footprint. it also gives a number of tips be green and reduce carbon emmision Corporates can learn a lot from this site. They can organise more amnd more such competition and encourage various departments and employees to compete... i'm sure this will bring down their carbon footprint immensely.

bangalore....where have you disappeared

last night while i was switching channels i suddenly spot NDTV news showing the pollution levels stats for the day ....it didn't come to me as a shock that bangalore was the most polluted city , but when i saw that water pollution and water contamination were highest in banglore...i started wondering should still stay put in this city, that i love so much or should shift base to a lesser polluted area...then i told myself "how far can one run"?.... While i was think of running, i remembered the various marathons organised in city for various cause...and i said what the use of running these marathos we run and run and run and get nothing .....but may be we should start running relays where you can share your responsibility and run together...what i mean to say is we need to keep passing the batton of awareness to each and every person we know, directly or indirectly...wake up bangaloreans....lets get our city back its glory.

educated bangaloreans vote for namesake

Elections in karnataka the buzz word of today. thousands of educated, all knowing citizens in bangaloreans ...don't know what to do , To vote or not to vote, whom to vote for or whom not to vote for. These all knowing bright citizens are in dilemma of selecting a leader for themselve...i think, the less knowing, uneducated people are in a much better suituation then the educated as they don't have to undergo the turmoil within themselve saying that everyone who is contesting is a rogue and how can they elect the rogues as their leaders, their votes are anyway bought buy the corrupt politician with a pack of brinyani and a quater of arrack. A number of my collegue, friends and peers when asked; are you going vote? The numbers saying they will vote has increased compared last time, but number who will vote for namesake is higher than ever. Now being a citizen of this great country right to vote is only right we all get to make a diffrence in the admistration of this country, but alas we do what we need to with all deligence only for namesake...will this namesake attitude ever change for' my country's sake'

IPL: indian premier league or illegal proposition legalised

its sad to notice that in a country were thousands of people cannot afford 2 proper meals a day, were electric illumination is luxury for many, education is dream. Crores are spent on illuminating stadiums for a day and night match, cheer leaders, adverstising etc ...a doubt arises in my mind are we really educated indians..., why are our minds so blind with cricket that we are ready to spend 100s on tickets but not ready think there 1000s of brothes and sisters who without food are falling down like wickets. when the wickets of our opp team fall we all shout with all gall, but when thousand of human wickets fall because poverty we dont even stop and sigh.

construction on foundation of distruction

Aah i know not what to say ? are we really heading towards a develop world or towards a crippled world. you may be thinking why i'm questioning in this manner?...i serious have lost my senses from the minute i saw two huge banyan trees on madivala-kormangala intersection disappear like they were never there....the two huge trees stood majestically giving company to each other, shelthering hundereds of birds and purifying tons of air on the ever polluted road. And one fine day the BBMP decides that trees were more menace than solace and raised them surface. The reason they gave was broadening of the road....i'm not againts development, but if only the trees could be transplanted to another place... world would head towards betterment, but this way constructing our future on foundation of distruction will take us no where...what is your take?

global warming in the name of 'no global warming'

A managment institute recently organised a concert by Boney M to rock for global warming awareness in bangalore. This was such a contridiction...i pity that the organiser didn't realise that they were adding to the carbon footprint by millions of tons by organising this show. They had to fly down the rockstarts which generated tons of carbon, 20,000 odd people attended the concert for which they had to travel to venue and back this would added few more tons and finally all the lighting and all the watts used up for the show...by the time i walked out of the show....i was grooving away ,the show was great boney M in their usual...but somewhere deep in my heart i was guilty that i have again added my bit to global warming

Boney M rock for global warming awareness

it was great to watch boney M...but the concert was contridicting the very cause for which it was organised...life is such a contridiction...
